Riesling is not the most popular drink in reggae music. But the combination fits perfectly in the Moselle valley. And we should celebrate that. On 900 square metres of grass!
When you think of Bavarian music, images of lederhosen-sporting brass bands inevitably spring to mind. What you don't necessarily think of are crisp offbeats, flowing dreadlocks or soulful Bavarian reggae tunes.
With their energetic live shows, UNLIMITED CULTURE have also made a name for themselves outside the classic reggae scene in recent years. With their stage presence, the four musicians around frontman and vocal virtuoso Lenny Souljah manage to thrill audiences anew every year with their pleasantly unconventional original compositions in Bavarian and English. The band's album planned for 2022 and the accompanying stage show are intended to reflect this renaissance of the dialect. Daring to use more dialect, more stories from life, razor-sharp social criticism and perhaps even the odd punchline are the cosmos in which the content of the next album will be set.
The first single "Bayerman Style" has already been released and is a perfect taster for the longplayer. The single quickly became a TikTok hit and has given the band a well-deserved media boost. UNLIMITED CULTURE are back in the starting blocks and are hungrier than ever to finally get back on the stages of Europe and give even rusty dancing legs a new lease of life. (Only the notorious Bavarian grumpiness can't be taken away from lead singer Lenny, who was born in Lower Bavaria).
