June Road is an indie folk duo, consisting of the British folk artist Harry Pane and the Belgian violinist Maia Frankowski. Brought together by a beautiful twist of fate, the couple met on stage during a European tour and now live in Brussels, where their relationship and songwriting are flourishing.
A blend of rich vocal harmonies meets rhythmic fingerpicking, marvellous guitar work and the warm, melodic tones of the violin. A great passion for travelling inspires her songs, while her natural writing chemistry is an organic process that continues to grow and flourish.
A strong sense of warmth and energy flows through their work, combined with personal lyrics that reflect the duo's lives.
Their shared admiration for acts such as Ben Howard, Fleet Foxes, Sarah Jarosz and Fleetwood Mac inspires their sound and musical aesthetic. Their first collaboration "Time" was released in 2020 as "Harry Pane feat. Maia Frankowski". This single was the beginning of their transition into today's June Road.
Before his time as June Road, Harry Pane played his songs at the renowned Glastonbury Festival and even twice as support at London's Royal Albert Hall. Maia Frankowski accompanied the rock band Marillion on their European tour in a string quartet.
“His tender honesty and expressiveness make him stand out from the crowd.”
Frank Turner about Harry Pane
“Music should take you on a journey and boy, this guy does it every time!”
