Pop-up platform for intercultural music on the Day of Cultural Diversity.
Finally, it's going on tour again: the E-bike platform Maja starts her journey through Trier. A special Highlight of the cultural summer event series „Klangspuren“ by Trier's Kulturkarawane takes place on 21 May from 5 to 8 pm in the palace gardens in Trier. To the Day of cultural diversity the mobile stage transforms the green oasis of the city into a Pop-up platform for intercultural music and encounters.
Together with musicians from the intercultural improvisation orchestra "ZusammenSpiel" an open sound space is created in which cultural diversity can be heard and experienced. Music is not understood as a classical stage programme, but as a common language.
The programme combines short musical impulses, a moderated intercultural jam session and a Open range of instruments, where visitors can become active themselves. Instruments from different cultural contexts invite you to try out simple rhythms and create music together - without any previous musical knowledge.
The result is an urban centre Open, consumer-free meeting place, which shows how cultural diversity can sound in everyday life.
Admission is free. You are welcome to bring your own picnic blankets, food and drinks - In the immediate vicinity there is a kiosk with snacks and drinks as well as toilets.
With this resounding pop-up campaign, Trier is sending out a visible signal in favour of a Open, diverse urban society - climate-friendly, participative and full of music.
WHAT IS INTERACTION?
Interplay is a new music project in Trier. It brings together people with very different stories: Some were born here, some have lived in Germany for a long time, some have only recently arrived.
What counts here is not where you come from or what language you speak. What counts here is that we meet each other - with openness, curiosity and a love of music. We improvise together, discover new sounds and grow into a colourful, lively community.
