The Melodica Festival - Greater Region Edition is bringing the format back to Trier in 2026 - for the first time with a clear focus on the Greater region. The venue is the TUFA Trier, where an intimate, atmospheric concert and meeting space is created for two days.
With a special lighting design, the large hall of the TUFA will become a stage for closeness, dialogue and shared experiences. In addition, the outdoor area with the Flying Grass Carpet an open place to linger, exchange ideas and arrive.
A new start instead of a standstill: After a break, the Melodica Festival is back - fresher, more sustainable and closer to the musical treasures of our region. Since 2015 you have known us in the historic Frankenturm. But international travel routes, ecological responsibility and a lack of accessibility have prompted us to rethink our approach.
In 2026, we are opening a new chapter - in the TUFA Trier. With a living room atmosphere, magical light and a lot of love for music, the Melodica feeling remains intact. Outside, our „Flying Grass Carpet“ invites you to relax and socialise.
Why wander into the distance? In our Greater Region great talents from Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland, Luxembourg, Wallonia and the Grand Est region to be seen. This is exactly where we come in - regionally rooted, internationally inspired.
Admission remains voluntary so that everyone can be there. Donations can be made on site or digitally.
We look forward to seeing you - and to what is about to begin.

Information on accessibility in simple language
- In front of the main entrance of the TUFA there are 3 disabled parking spaces.
- The main entrance to the Great Hall is located on the ground floor of the TUFA and is barrier-free.
- There is an on-site barrier-free Toliette.
- At the festival there are a person who helps you and shows a suitable place. The person responsible is at the entrance to the large hall.
- If you have a Wheelchair you can choose a free seat. We will help you with this.
- You can also on site Address a person from the team and say that you need help. The person will then call the person responsible.
- You can contact us before the festival and tell us, what help you need.

- The nearest barrier-free Bus stop to the Tufa is the Bus stop City library. From there it is a 150 metre walk to the TUFA.
