International songwriting camp brings Ukrainian and German musicians together in Trier.
A unique cultural exchange project will take place in Trier in December 2024: A songwriting camp for ten musicians from Ukraine and Germany, organised in collaboration with Music Export Ukraine (MEU). From 8 to 13 December the artists have the opportunity to create new music together, guided by professional musicians. The city of Trier offers the ideal backdrop for creative exchange and intercultural dialogue.
During the five-day camp, the participating musicians will not only make music together but also explore the cultural life of Trier and enter into an exchange with local cultural organisations and the population. The aim of the project is to promote cultural dialogue between Germany and Ukraine and to develop long-term cooperation between the musicians and cultural institutions in both countries.
The project is made possible by the support of the RAZOM/RHIZOM programme as part of the "Civil Society Cooperation" initiative of the Federal Foreign Office. The programme is coordinated by the Ukrainian Institute in Germany and the Artsvit Gallery. It is an important step towards promoting artistic exchange and joint creativity in challenging times.
The final performance of the camp will take place on 12 December 2024 in the main hall of the TUFA in Trier will take place. Admission is at 7 pm, the concert starts at 7:30 pm. Admission is for a voluntary donation.
