The colourful pianos will also return in 2024! From 13-21 September 2024 wonderful keyboard sounds resound through the alleyways and squares of the city.
The concept is as simple as it is ingenious: numerous colourfully designed pianos - freshly tuned and ready for use, of course - are set up in the Trier city area, freely accessible and playable for everyone. "My Urban Piano Trier" is active civic participation not only in musical but also in visual terms! All the pianos have been lovingly hand-painted and designed by artists, non-profit organisations and other creators.

Are you passionate about playing the piano? Would you like to put your skills to the test and maybe even play your own concert at the end? Are you no older than 16? Then get on the piano and show us your talent!
The Young Talent Contest is a competition organised by the Kulturkarawane as part of the "My Urban Piano Trier" event, which is looking for young, talented piano players who would like to demonstrate their skills in a competition and bring them to a larger audience.
Children & young people up to and including the age of 16.

For better planning, an informal registration by e-mail to anni@kultur-karawane.de requested. This application must be accompanied by the completed Declaration of consent of the legal guardian(s) (in digital form with handwritten signature) must be enclosed. However, spontaneous participation without prior registration is also possible. In this case, the declaration of consent must be presented on site.
An urban piano will be available for the audition. No winners will be chosen at the auditions themselves.

Who rates me?
Your performance will be judged by a jury consisting of employees of "Kulturkarawane gUG" and "Pianohaus Markus Hübner"
What criteria are used for evaluation?
Your talent, your actual ability and your performance will be assessed in relation to your age.
The winners will be selected and notified by the jury after the audition. The winning audition will take place at a "My Urban Piano" concert in 2024.
