The Rhineland-Palatinate Music Forum, in collaboration with Kulturkarawane Trier and MoselPop, invites you to the Meet-up on 24 October, 4 pm–8 pm at the TUFA in Trier in.
How can music events and festivals be made accessible to as many people as possible? What specific steps can organisers take to break down barriers, and how can this issue be permanently embedded in planning, communication and practice?
On 24 October, the MoselPop network, Kulturkarawane Trier and the Rhineland-Palatinate Music Forum are inviting all interested event organisers and cultural professionals to Trier for a day of inspiration and discussion. Look forward to insights into MoselPop’s activities, best practices from festivals and inspiration from, amongst others,. Julia Mädrich (Diversity and Inclusion Trainer, Sommerblut Festival) on the topic of accessibility in booking and curation. There will, of course, also be time for sharing personal experiences and exchanging views.

How can we organise events that everyone can take part in?
People with disabilities should be able to take part everywhere. This is also one of the aims of the law. It is important in the music scene too. Concerts and festivals should be open to as many people as possible.
But how do we go about doing that?
The Rhineland-Palatinate Music Forum and Kulturkarawane invite you to an open meeting.
We’d like to talk about this:
- What’s already going well?
- Where are the remaining barriers?
- How can people with disabilities be better included?
- How can they take part as guests?
- How can they stand on stage?
- How can you get involved in the organisation?
- What can we achieve with limited time and money?
- What can we learn from one another?
People talk about the barriers they face themselves. They know what is difficult. They also know what can help.
We are showcasing examples from Rhineland-Palatinate. The MoselPop network is also sharing its experiences.
