Neighbourhood, circus and live music at Hubert-Neuerburg-Platz
As part of the Kultursommer series of events „Traces of sound - a journey through Trier“ makes our mobile e-bikeStage Maja Stop at Trier-Süd. Together with the Trier-South Local Advisory Council and the Cultural divide invites Kulturkarawane to the September South Sause onto Hubert-Neuerburg-Platz. On the 26 September, from 2 pm It’s all about getting together, listening to music, playing games and spending a relaxing afternoon in the neighbourhood.
It’s all about 2 p.m. with music, children’s games and a badge-making machine. Also taking part is the Local Agenda 21 Trier with her World Distribution Game. Through play, it becomes clear how the world’s population, wealth and resources are distributed – and where there are major disparities.
To 3 pm it will be wonderful, mad and daring: The Circolo Stilt Theatre presents his one-man acrobatic show. The circus’s stilt-walkers have long been a familiar sight in Trier. This time, the acrobatics take place at eye level – surprising, funny and spectacular. An insider’s tip for people aged 1 to 101 years.
From 4.00 pm will the Stage Maja to a concert stage. Kulturkarawane’s mobile e-bike stage brings culture to where the people are: small, flexible and independent of any large-scale event infrastructure. So, this afternoon, Hubert-Neuerburg-Platz is quickly transformed into a small concert venue.
On stage is the German-Turkish indie pop project Sinu. Singer and songwriter Sinan Köylü He writes songs in German and Turkish, blending poetic lyrics with ethereal soundscapes, minimalist guitar work and modern beats. His music ranges from quiet, contemplative moments to socially critical themes – with echoes of Bon Iver, Ben Howard and Ry X.
Admission is based on the principle that „Pay what you like“: Everyone gives what they can.
You’re welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks. If you need a top-up or are looking for a toilet, you’ll find both at Maria's Little Café just round the corner.
