MY URBAN PIANO 2025
Sat, 06 September 2025 - 16:00-18:30
Urban Piano Domfreihof Trier

Hands-on producing session with Julia Reidenbach.

In the Producing Session "Vocal & Choirs" the human voice takes centre stage - as an expression, as an instrument and as a bridge between people. A public sound space is created in the Domfreihof where people can sing, improvise and experiment musically together.

Everyone is invited to join in - with or without singing experience:

  • The session will be led by the Trier singer Julia Reidenbachwhose work on the project Choir over bridges has extensive experience in participative and inclusive choral work.
  • It's not about perfection, but about shared experience, musical expression and spontaneous encounters through the voice.
  • Whether it's a polyphonic canon, rhythmic vocal passages or free improvisation - everything is created live on the spot, together with the people who are there.

Included:

Toby Urban (sound technology) and Brice Bartone (Production, NuBreeze) accompany the session technically and artistically. They pick up the emerging voices and mould them into an atmospheric Soundtrack of the moment - live at the Domfreihof.

Julia Reidenbachborn in Trier, was born with a love of music. She sang in a children's choir in Trier from an early age and also took on solo roles in productions with the Trier City Theatre. After many years of singing lessons and training as an educator, she spent many years on stage as a singer in various musical acts. In 2018, the project she founded, Chor über Brücken e.V., was awarded the "KultDING", a prize from the Lotto Foundation Rhineland-Palatinate for socio-cultural projects with children and young people. Since 2019, she has been leading the "Just Sing" events in Trier with great success, where she forms a choir with up to 400 people and rehearses pop songs. In addition to her work as a choir and project leader, Julia Reidenbach also composes her own music for young people.
